Forasmuch as an Act of this Island, intituled, An Act for Public Recompence to Masters of Slaves put to death by Law, bearing Date the Twenty eighth Day of October, One Thousand six hundred and sixty nine, has been found by Experience to the Interest of all the Inhabitants of this Island; be it therefore ordered, ordained, and enacted, and it is hereby ordered, ordained, and enacted by his Excellency, Council, and Assembly of this Island, and by the Authority of the same, That the said Act and every Thing therein contained be henceforth made null and void, and it is hereby made null and void to all Intents and Purposes whatsoever; any Thing therein contained to the contrary thereof in any wise notwithstanding.
